FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen features 48 exceptional wines by the glass every day, 840 hand selected wines by the bottle every day, 48 local and regional craft beers, a full cocktail bar, and delicious menu.
The highlight of FortyEight is the ability to taste our 48 featured wines every day. Using our interactive WineStations, you are able to get a taste (1 oz.), a half glass (3 oz.), or a full glass (6 oz.) of any of our 48 exceptional wines, just by inserting your FortyEight SmartCard. And if you are shopping for wine to take home, you can taste any of our 48 featured wines before you buy them! In addition, there are 840 wines available by the bottle, hand selected by our wine team; and 48 local and regional craft beers, hand selected seasonally, and a wonderful selection of craft cocktails!
Our Event Spaces
FortyEight - Estate Room
Our newest event space holds between 6 - 14+ guests in a private event space. Enjoy an exclusive loung space reception followed by a wonderful sit down dinner in our exclusive dinning room. Reservations required for this room.
FortyEight - Reserve Room
FortyEight - Reserve Room shares a space and a kitchen with FortyEight - Wine Bar & Kitchen, which has become an institution on Kiawah Island over the last 5+ years, consistently named one of the top bars and restaurants on the barrier islands of Kiawah and Seabrook. It has it's own entrance, separate from FortyEight - Wine Bar & Kitchen, and can be private by closing the sliding doors and curtains between the two spaces.

Our FortyEight seasonal menu includes amazing appetizers, savory salads, small plate entrees, and delectable desserts. With 48 different options to choose from, there is always something for everyone!
FortyEight’s event coordinator will work with guests to make special occasions unforgettable. When the space is not reserved for private events, the new Reserve Room will be available for nightly dining reservations.
